Structure

Estonia has one nationwide Emergency Response Centre. Emergency calls are processed in four regional centres: in Tallinn, Tartu, Jõhvi and Pärnu. Additionally, the Emergency Response Centre has a help and information centre and administrative departments. The Emergency Response Centre employs both rescue servants (special public servants) as well as employees working on the basis of an employment contract.

The structure and main functions of the Emergency Response Centre have been set out in the statutes of the Emergency Response Centre. The statutes of the Emergency Response Centre can be accessed here.

The structural units of the Emergency Response Centre may include sub-structural units, which are established by an order of the director general.
