In most cases, the Emergency Response Centre will see the caller’s location on the map. There are two options for positioning: mast-based location information by the communications operator, and more precise location detection, i.e. Advanced Mobile Location (AML). AML works on newer smartphones with Android and Apple operating systems.

Mast-based location detection can provide location data at the accuracy of up to several kilometers, whereas AML technology allows for an accuracy of few meters.

If positioning does not provide a sufficiently accurate result and it is not possible to determine the location by using the map application, you can also give the Emergency Response Centre your coordinates.

In order to check your coordinates from your smartphone, it is necessary to have your GPS turned on. Location data can be seen from Google Maps, iOS Maps or the Compass application (Apple).
